THE LAURIER HEIGHTS COMMUNITY IS THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THE CITY OF EDMONTON’S RENAMING OF A BELOVED NEIGHBOURHOOD PARK IN HONOUR OF THE LATE JULIE ROHR. 

The Julie Rohr Park will be a testament to the lasting legacy of a woman who selflessly devoted herself to the betterment of the Laurier Heights community and beyond. On Sunday, September 17, we will gather to embrace this park with gratitude, knowing that it represents the enduring spirit of Julie Rohr, a beacon of inspiration and hope for generations to come. 

Moreover, this event marks the beginning of a new fundraising campaign aimed at transforming the park space into an even more welcoming and vibrant place for all. Inspired by Julie’s commitment to community engagement and her passion for creating spaces where children and families could thrive, the campaign aims to enhance the park’s facilities and amenities. Through collective efforts, the community aspires to create a space that reflects Julie’s spirit of inclusivity, love, and togetherness.
