The LHCL Board is looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to join the Board of Directors. If you have any interest in any of the following roles, we want to hear from you and would love to see you at the AGM.
This is your chance to make an impact in building the community you want to live in. Nominations for the following roles are open at the AGM:
Vice-President: You are second in command and will preside at meetings in the President’s absence and replace the President at various functions when asked to do so by the President or the Board. You are also responsible for the annual review of the Society bylaws and act as a signing authority for the Society.
Programs Team Lead: Laurier is full of diverse interests for all ages! This is an opportunity to support some cherished programs that have been experienced for many years, AND make a mark by bringing in new programs that can engage the community.
Communications Team Lead: Not feeling “in-the-know”? Make a difference by ensuring community communications are reaching all neighbours in fun and delightful ways.
Members at Large: We need 1-4 community members to serve as Directors-at-Large and participate on a team according to their interests and gifts/talents, and carry out other duties as assigned by the Board.
Events Team Members: You connect the neighbourhood! Events are a great way to get to know more of your neighbours and have a blast celebrating together.
